May 2022 Newsletter - cabin info, feeding programme and work party

Hi old and new members alike.

New members, and maybe some old, may not be aware that you have access to the store/cabin room (members suite if you like 🤣🤣🤣). There is access to a kettle, microwave, fridge freezer and toaster. As well as plenty of tools and a mower if you fancy volunteering to do some grounds maintenance. There is tea and coffee usually in there but the freshness cannot be guaranteed 🤣. Same for milk in the fridge. Please try not to leave food in there after your session, if you remember you have please message me or Andy and we'll bin it ASAP. The fridge freezer can be used for food and bait just double bag any stinky bait please.

The key for the room is hanging next to the shower. You can keep the room open during your session but please always hang the key back up and lock it before you leave if you are the last angler on.

There are bins around the place with pellet and maize in but they aren't for your rubbish. The storage box outside the cabin is a bin but with rubbish that was brought in with the floods so please do not add to this, take all your trash home.

You are welcome to use as much pellet and split maize as you want as long as it goes in Millfield. We have two feeding spots which are:

In front of the willow across from Peg 2.

To the right side of the broken tree across from Peg 6.

We will put bait onto these spots 2 or 3 times a week regardless of if people are fishing those swims (sorry, if you want big fish they need feeding). You are obviously more than welcome to fish over the top of it!

The pellet and maize can go straight in out of the bag, but I recommend soaking the maize in lake water for about ten minutes as it goes 'gloopy.'

I know there is a WhatsApp group for members but please make sure capture pics are uploaded to the forum too. If you don't know how to do this ask or send them onto me or Andy to do so. WhatsApp messages get lost but the forum is a better record keeper.

If you want to guest on mates it is at a cost to them of £30 per 24 hours. They must be accompanied and let in and out by you at all times, with them fishing the same or next peg from you. If the weekends are busy you may be refused a guesty. We are currently not letting midweek only anglers to 'guest' themselves on at weekends but may consider this in the coming months.

Lastly, after putting the feelers out Andy has organised the work party for Saturday 14th May which is a week tomorrow.

Cheers chaps and tight lines.
