MILLFIELD POOL SYNDICATE RULES 2025

ALL WEEK TICKET £550

MIDWEEK TICKET £400

Midweek ticket runs from 11am Sunday morning until 10am Friday mornings.

The season ticket is from May 1st until April 30th.

Rules will be adjusted and changed as and when required:

  1. Permits are valid from 1st May to 30th April.

  2. Under no circumstances fish with more than three rods. All rods must be in the same peg.

  3. All fishing must be done from a peg, including “stalking”.

  4. New rule for 2025: It is now either fishing from Peg 3 or 10 and Peg 4 or 9. For example, if someone is fishing in 4 then no one else can go in 9, same with 3 and 10.

  5. Tubing or leaders are allowed. No braided mainline.

  6. Bait boats are allowed but excessive use is frowned upon. Report over use so it can be addressed.

  7. No plastic baits apart from when zig fishing.

  8. Normal backleads are allowed when fishing in pegs 3 to 10 and not near snags. No backleads in pegs 1 and 2. Flying and captive backleads aren't allowed at all.

  9. Anti-bank tramp rules- You can fish up to a 5-night stint once a calendar month, but regularly 3 nights back to back are the maximum. You must then not fish for the same amount of nights you have just done up to 3 days. No going to work/away for several hours leaving your gear in a peg, however you can nip home/get supplies for a few hours.

  10. If you want to follow someone into a peg, please don't get anything out of your car until that person has vacated (obviously if you're getting dropped off you can unload next to car).

  11. Pre-baiting is allowed if done with respect to anglers fishing at the time. Pre-baiting a swim gives you no right to it on the day of fishing.

  12. On hot days you can take your top off in your peg but you must wear a t-shirt/vest when walking around the venue.

  13. Rowing boats have been provided to assist anglers in retrieving snapped off rigs and tethered fish. Use them at your own risk. A LIFE JACKET MUST BE WORN WHEN IN THE BOAT. An oar and life jacket will be kept in the cabin. Return the boats back where you found them.

  14. Quiet, well behaved dogs are welcome as long as they are cleaned up after.

  15. Spouses and kids are welcome to visit you, bearing in mind this is a serious carp fishing syndicate. You are limited to only one person with you overnight.

  16. Guest fishing tickets will be charged at £30 per 24 hours. They must be booked, don't take it personally if they are rejected during busy times. No guests in April, May and June.

  17. Sunday start time is 11am for midweek ticket holders (Monday over bank holiday weekends). You can drive in as early as you want but you must stay around the cabin area and not venture around the lake disturbing others.

  18. Publicity - You can put catch photos on social media but do not name Millfield Pool, you can call it things like “My Yorkshire/Local Syndicate” or “Northern Stillwater.“. Photos must be taken on a solid background of trees or path and not have the lake, pegs, the toilets or anything that obviously gives away the location in the background.

  19. Never give the gate code out to anyone. Meet anyone you are letting in at the gate. If they don’t have the code already, they shouldn’t be on.

Any members in breach of the rules may have their membership suspended or terminated with no refund.
